Wood Sculpture: Natural Ash Almond

The sculptures are created one by one by Vivien Grandouiller, the artist.  Wood is a live media. This work of art is characterized by simple geometric forms in which are associated with filming, sanding & painting with sculpture.
Thanks to an off-center digging technique, French artist Vivien Grandouiller manages to obtain trompe l'oeil effects amplified by work in color. He also likes to work the light by making it shine through the wood and reveal other aspects of the material such as its grains and shades of colors. He appreciates the pure and tense lines that he considers pleasant to the eye and to the touch.  Dimensions and colors may vary.
